There are many festivals and holidays throughout the year in Barcelona. No matter when you go, you will probably see fireworks and costumes. Here's a few of the most popular festivals of the year

Festival de Sant Joan:

The entire week that leads up to June 23rd you will see fireworks being set off around the city. On the 23rd everyone goes to the beach to celebrate the start of summer with a fireworks display and bonfires and camping. 
(El 23 de junio, ir a la playa para celebrar el verano con fuegos artificiales y fogatas y acampar.)






 Festa Major de Gracia:

This is a week long festival, around the second week in August, where the streets are full in the Gracia neighborhood. There is live music, dancing, fireworks, lots of drinking.

Cal Pep is know for their amazing tapas. They also have a variety of fresh seafood dishes and Mediterranean style entrees. The menu consists of over 70 tapas, entrees, soups and salads. They also have ever-changing daily specials since they are literally cooking the catch of the day.

Transportation:


Barcelona has many different options for getting around the city. There is the metro, a bus network, two modern tram networks, and a historic tram network. The most interesting way to get around, though, is the Bicing Service. The Barcelon City Council started this community bicycle program in 2007 and it's been a hit. In order to access the bicycles, you would have to get a user card and then you can ride any bicycle from one station to another in different locations in the city.
